Okay this seems like a really nerdy question... but does IRC work at Cornell?

Bump! Anyone know?

Hmm, I'm interested to know this as well. What about Bit Torrent too? I'm aware everyone uses DC++ but I need IRC and Bit Torrent to fuel my anime addiction.

lol
might you be a frequent Rizon-er? :P

Why wouldn't it work? I don't think that they got firewalls on 6666-6668 ports. Still, I don't see the point of using mIRC if they got DC++, unless you actually talk in there... or play trivia )) just kidding.... or do releases but then there's a much bigger chance of catching you than at home

Trust me, there's plenty of anime--along with everything else--on DC++.

To the best of my knowledge, people on campus DO initially get files from Bit Torrent and then put them on the DC++ hub, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

Why yes I am. :D
I need to use IRC because I also do fansubbing and I need to be in our IRC channels. And I'd much rather get my anime through IRC than wait for someone else to download a version that I might not necessarily want.

@ tun: my nick on rizon is rain, if you ever want to chat haha

lol wo1f. yes, i chat often in irc channels, which is my main reason for asking the initial question. that, and the fact that i get most (if not all) of my anime from irc as well.
