A long story short I am about to finish my four year enlistment in the Navy. I was able to get 21 transfer credits from Central Texas College and Old Dominion U. As I finish up my application to Arizona State U they currently have me 3 credits shy of 24 with a cumulative 3.57 gpa. I'm hoping they can get three transferable credits from my Joint Service transcript ,but i'm not holding my breath. The reason this is such a worry is because my High School transcript is horrendous, SATs aren't much better with a combo of 1000. The only thing else I have is an AP score of a 4 in US history which wont be counted towards 24. I do also plan on applying to University of San Diego and Rutgers.

The current issiue is that I'm doing my last 8 months on a remote location base in Greece with very little resources to use. I may be able to take an Intro to Anthro through UMUC that could push me over the edge.

Even if you have to include your HS transcript and SATs, I don’t see how you wouldn’t be accepted. ASU accepts 89% of applicants, and your 1000 SAT puts you just barely in the middle 50% of enrolled freshman. With your service, which indicates work ethic and maturity, and your 21 college credits, I would be shocked if you were denied.

Is it absolutely required to have 24 credits to transfer, no exceptions?

Thanks for the response. Not worried as much about ASU compared to USD’s acceptance under 50%
.
Math - 4 years - Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and one course requiring Algebra II as a prerequisite.- Only did 3 years
Fine Arts - 1 year- Dont think i meet
Applicants must also meet at least one of the following:
Top 25% in high school graduating class- huge maybe.
3.0 GPA in competency courses (4.0 = A)-- maybe
ACT 22 (24 nonresidents)-never took
SAT Reasoning 1040 (1110 nonresidents)-no

Have you been able to call admissions at any of these schools and explain your situation? It’s possible they might be willing to relax some of these requirements for someone with life experience, especially military experience. It’s not unusual for colleges to even give credit for life experience. I would ask.

Ask to be put in contact with the admissions officer who is responsible for handling the applications from veterans. That person will be able to let you know what your options are.
