I live in North Carolina and I’m 21 and I still don’t have my license & I just have bad anxiety but I’m gonna try for these next 3 weeks and put my anxiety to the side and just learn how to drive and to get my license.
I am in the process of teaching my Hs student to drive.
Three weeks IMO is not enough time, especially if you have anxiety.
In our state you are supposed to have 64 hours I believe, behind the wheel before you take the test. I get it, people don’t do it, but I really think this is a great recommendation.
thank you!
I don’t want to be that guy, but getting a license is a big responsibility. When I got my license at the age of 16, my parents followed the rules:
If you are under age 18, before you take your road test you must
have a minimum of 50 hours of supervised practice driving with
at least 15 hours at night (after sunset)
at least 10 hours in moderate to heavy traffic
This is for New York State, and I just checked the minimum hours for NC and it says 12 hours. In my opinion, this number of hours is just low. I feel like a person who is about to get their license should at least drive for 30 hours to 50 hours maximum.
To answer your question, I feel like three weeks is okay since you are 21 years old and mature. You know the rules and that’s not text and drive. However, If I were you I would do at least 20 hours then take the driving test.
you are right, I want to make sure I get in a lot of hours as well I want to make sure I feel as much as comfortable behind the wheel as much as I can
