Composite of 32, Writing 10…I mean I understand this score doesn’t completely rule me out, that there are a lot of other factors involved and that its not bad score at all per se but competing with 36’s and 2400’s, how much does this lower my chances at Brown?

100%.. duh..sorry I just know I'm not the only one cringing after reading that.

Um, I'm pretty new on this website, and my knowledge is limited on what it truly takes, since I have not applied yet. However, one thing I have noticed is how often people look down on you for practically anything below a composite score of 33 on these forums. I don't know if the "cringing" comment was sarcastic or not. I'm almost certain you have a shot at Brown. I'm applying with a 25 ACT/1860 SAT. It might be a reach, but I don't care, it is worth my time with all of my other strengths. I feel if you "package" yourself well, you have a chance. At least that's what I've learned from everyone I've talked to about the college experience. My cousin got into Northwestern with a 31. It might not be an Ivy, but it certainly is competitive.

32 is a good score. Stop worrying about that.

An ACT score of 32 will not harm your chances at Brown as you are in above the average 30.5 ACT and well within the mid-range of 28-33 for matriculated students. Last year, two CC posters with respective ACT scores of 24 & 25 were admitted to Brown University. An ACT score of 32 = about a 1420/1600 SAT I score & Brown's mid-range of matriculated students SAT I scores was 1330-1530 for their class of 2011.
