Hey, what about a 3.8-3.9 plus 1480 SAT/ 3 780 SAT IIS from Notre Dame to say UPENN, Dartmouth, Brown, or Stanford for my JUNIOR AND SENIOR years. That is, I plan on being a transfer after my sophmore years.

Thanks.

C'mon, guys. I was being sarcastic...

FightingIrish01, I've seen what Stanford wants for transfers and you have what they are looking for. Just curious, why don't you like ND?

NDFreak- are you saying stanford weighs SAT scores and college G.P.A heavily?

hellll ya they do...i've read that one dude takes all students and automatically begins categorizing them based solely on SAT scores and GPA, and he filters them out. I don't know if that's how transfers work, but I imagine it's the same.

Even For Transers?????????

"I don't know if that's how transfers work, but I imagine it's the same."

Well, that's as much as I know. Maybe it's the same.

I don't know about categorizing students based on SATs/GPAs. I think that these colleges are looking at the entire package. Actually, I know that they are. I'm just reporting that for the 2004 fall semester, 1,343 applied, 6.9% were admitted, 95% of those admitted had college GPAs of 3.5 and above, 65% had an SAT I Verbal score of 700 and above and 61% had and SAT Math score of 700 and above.

man i've GOTTA get that math score up.....GRRRRR

but I read that in a Princeton Review book called "Essays that Made a Difference" and it was referring to freshman, straight from the mouth of a stanford admissions officer, but no I don't know if it's the same for transfer students. Of course they look at the whole package, but they do initially rank freshman based on SAT scores and GPA.
