<p>Just wondering, if it's too late that I've just started preparing for SAT considering that I'm having an ATAR of around 96.</p>

<p>how come youre starting to prepare only now? assuming you are starting at uni in a month, but applications for US colleges were due in January for decision in late march/early april. i guess you could apply next year, but youd get a decision in about a years time.</p>
<p>Finally someone replied :’) Uhm I’m in year 12 now so I guess it’s not too late? So how are you going with your college application? No one here (where I live) takes SAT lol I have absolutely no one to consult to :x</p>
<p>Are you starting Year 12 now? If so, you should plan to take the SAT in the Spring, along with subject tests, then again in the Fall. You could also take the ACT (which often replaces SAT+SAT subjects).</p>
<p>Yep it’s my 2nd week of Year 12 now. So I’m planning to take the subject tests in May and SAT test in July. How does this sound?

<p>The SAT is not offered in July, only in May and June (for international testing sites) plus October, November, and December. </p>

<p>yea then it’s fine. I found doing it in HSC year quite annoying to be honest. I did one in around Nov-Dec 2012 got 2140 which i wasnt too happy with did Chem/Maths II in around June which was super annoying due to HSC and then redid Math II 2 days after finishing hsc. And then redid SAT Is in Dec 2013 before applying.</p>
<p>I applied to Berkeley, UCLA, NYU, UMich, Northwestern, UVa, UNC. I thought it went alright, although very nervous about how they will look at my school grades which arent great. ATAR is alrightish though</p>

<p>thanks guys :’) So I’m just gonna take chem and math II subject tests on May 3, 4, and SAT on October so if I screw SAT up I’m just gonna try doing it again in December hoping that it won’t be too late for college admissions :)</p>
<p>it wont be too late, you can do it in Jan for many many unis.</p>

Well Hanley if you’re gonna start doing uni in 2016 then maybe take it this year? and if you’re unhappy at your result you can take it again in 2016 bcoz i’ve heard alot of US students doing their sat in year 11 or so… (don’t blame me if i’m not right) </p>
