Is applying to transfer to Penn worth it for me?

I currently attend a big ten school as a business major with a 4.0. My highschool stats are very average (3.7 gpa, 26 act). I am unhappy majoring in business and would like to transfer to Penn for their PPE program or Econ. I will have roughly 60 credits and will be applying for fall 2015. Is this a complete reach, or is it worth applying?

unless the big ten school is Northwestern, I’d forget about it.

Considering your thread history suggests that you have yet to attend college, how do you know anything about the transfer process?

With a 26 ACT I think Penn is beyond a high reach for you. :/

It’s a tough road. Typically accepted transfer students tend to look like the students who were admitted as freshmen.

Are there co-ops or something you can do at your current school to break up the monotony? Maybe some time away (while doing something constructive and earning money) may give you a refreshed outlook at your college. Having a 4.0 is nothing to be sneezed at. Good luck to you.

@hockey1995‌ I mean I’m not stupid. If you’re trying to transfer to an Ivy from a big 10 school that’s not Northwestern, that’s not going to be easy… maybe Michigan is good enough too. The other schools just aren’t that great and transferring to Penn is difficult. Getting into Penn is difficult too. Considering your thread history, you’ve tried to transfer before? with a 26 ACT, and transfer students looking like freshmen, not a great chance.

@emchda‌ I was more or less just curious as to how much my highschool stats would be looked at due to being a junior. I have never tried to transfer before, I originally was applying for winter 2015 but changed it to fall 2015.
