is apush hard?

I’m a sophomore and am planning on taking AP Chinese, AP Lang, AP Physics I & II, AP Comp Sci A, Pre-Calc Honors, and AP US History next year.

I have taken WHAP before (got a 4 on the exam but didn’t really study at all) and am currently taking AP European History.

Given my experience with AP history classes, will APUSH be hard for me? Will it be manageable considering the fact that I am taking four other AP classes?

I’m taking none of my other classes for college, but will most likely be taking APUSH because of my previous experience with AP history classes, the credit that I’ll earn, and the fact that it would be weird to take WHAP and AP Euro then regular history.

APUSH shouldn’t be a problem for you. Most of your social studies education has probably been US History, so you know the material, and at this point you’re familiar with what tests and essays in an AP history class will entail. Most of my APUSH class did well, and the only ones who had issues in the beginning were the ones who hadn’t taken Euro the year before.

Why not wait until Junior year to take AP Lang or Lit?

@bopper The schedule I mentioned was for junior year. I am planning on taking AP Lang then

It varies from school to school, but at mine, APUSH is considered the easiest AP. There’s a lot of notetaking and lot of concepts on the tests, but I think it’s definitely manageable. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

update: I’ve decided not to take it so that I can spend more time on my other more-difficult subjects, extracurriculars, and ACT prep. At my school, it is not considered difficult, but there is a lot of work so it’s really time-consuming, and I would rather spend that time doing something else especially since I am not passionate about learning US History. Thanks for your help @ToraToraTora @h8annah @thebetterhawkeye ! I really appreciate it.
