I am going to visit if I get accepted since I live so far away, but what are your guys' opinions on the campus, dorms etc.?

I can’t speak to the dorms but the campus and environment are amazing there. Thats why its my top choice!

Cant edit- its also my top choice for great academics of course haha

Clemson’s campus is gorgeous and one of its main drawing points - it’s something no virtual tour or viewbook can do justice to though, you’ve gotta come for a visit and decide for yourself haha

It’s amazing and one of the reasons I went there from out of state. Incredible weather, atmosphere, and people. There’s no place like it.

pierre,
How would you say it compares to Va. Tech, I saw that you seriously considered Tech. I haven’t been accepted to Clemson, but I’m just weighing options. Thanks.

I personally liked Clemson’s campus better than Virginia Tech. It just seemed more beautiful to me (personal opinion). Kinda cool that VT has the drill field and all the buildings made out of “Hokie Stone” gave it a cool feel but I felt Bowman Field/Tillman Hall/Ampitheatre/Reflection Pond at Clemson was a lot cooler. Both are great campuses. FYI - Virginia Tech definitely has the better food hahaha

Thanks pierre,
I’ve had some of the food at Tech and it’s outrageously great!! If I get accepted to Clemson, I will visit soon. I am accepted to Tech through their Fall Visitation program, this is non-binding, so I’m grateful to have this wonderful option. Time will tell!

The campus is beautiful and you can’t beat the southern charm either! I’m not partial, or anything, lol. Good luck!

My daughter has been accepted and we are trying to arrange an overnight visit to help solidify her decision but finding the process challenging. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I believe its called the clemson inn near (on technically actually I think) campus is a nice hotel, they will give you special rates if you say you are a visiting potential student or something like that.

“Future tiger rate?”

Not sure what else you may need, I live within driving distance so a car was no problem for us.

We just booked for orientation a double queens room at the university’s conference center inn (James F. Martin Inn) for $105 using their Future Tiger rate. Includes breakfast.

Yep, there is a discount rate for the James F. Martin Inn. There also is the Sleep Inn, Courtyard Marriott, Hampton Inn and Comfort Inn (don’t stay at the University Inn)

Oh yeah, that’s the place! Enjoy your trip and the school! I’ll be venturing down there again soon too!
