Is coca-cola semi finalist even helping the admission

<p>Hi My son was selected as a coca-cola semi finalist 2014. His SAT is 2100. He has other EC's and great leadership positions. I am wondering if this coca cola thing helps a lot for his status. He is applying to Upenn ED this year. Anybody knew someone before with this award going to IVY schools? Thanks a lot</p>

<p>This is directly from the semi finalist email I received </p>

<p>"You have been selected as a Semifinalist in the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. Because so few of the total number of applicants (nearly 100,000) for the Coca-Cola Scholars Program are advanced as Semifinalists, we consider this an outstanding achievement. "</p>

<p>… So yes it will look good on any resume or application!</p>
