High school does have good times, but when people that say it was the best time of their lives its just showing that they value different things than the average CC poster. For the avg CC poster, hs isnt the best time, in fact it sucks, dont get me wrong a lot of things about it are fun but overall it sucks. So when you hear that statement, first examine who its coming from and youll gain a better understanding of it.

Quite honestly, high school wasn’t all that great. Freshman and sophomore year, I don’t even think I knew what I was doing, and junior year was pretty average. Of course, all the time that I spent studying, doing homework, and keeping up with extracurriculars didn’t really enhance the experience much. But I must say that senior year is definitely great. Once I got past first semester, I’ve been having probably one of the greatest years ever. After the AP exams, the only thing left to do is party, go to prom, party, and graduate. :)

I agree ^^
And the best days of my life are yet to come!!!

So far, as a sophomore, I definately consider high school to be outstanding. This is because I began studying Emerson and Thoreau who both quoted Jesus Christ. A long story short…I dared to find out what attracted them to Jesus. After reading the gospel of John in the Living Bible, my heart could not stop searching the New Testament. I then watched “Jesus of Nazareth” by Franco Zefferelli. I then dared to be friends with my former adversaries, Christians (I was a jock-1rst string quarterback who was arrogant). Now I can’t get enough of living life with so much love and joy. Life is SO FULL!!! Just try reading Jesus’ words and keep going to churches until you find one that loves Jesus. I go to [Celebrate Easter at Bayside](http://www.baysideonline.com) Thanks for listening!

I love high school. I love being a senior and getting to go into Georgetown during frees. I love building a rube goldberg machine and talking back to my teachers. I love my theater family, and how much I’ve learned from them. I love people discussing the New Yorker in the library during frees. I love bonding over how stressed everyone is. I love sitting in the sunny grass, singing, while my friends play the bongos and the ukelele. I love scavenger hunts that take all night. I love spooning sleeping freshmen and then assuring them the next day that I didn’t (all girls sleepover on a COLD basement floor). I love putting nutella on one half of a pretzel stick and peanut butter on the other and then eating the whole thing. I love English teachers that always stick up for you.

…Yeah, I’ma miss high school.

(The nostalgia has definitely kicked in)

The real trick is to learn to enjoy where you are and who you are at each stage of your life. Then it’s just one continuous ride into new experiences, and they can get better and better if you let them.

Well it’s not hell sophomore year was though. Junior year this year is the best so far. But I really dislike a lot of the people in my school and I wouldn’t mind it one bit if I never see them again.

im class of 09. High school was okay. i did alot of growing up. Took ppl 4 what they were. Middle school was the best school years i’ve encountered. Im just ready 4 college. CSU HERE I COME!!!

Depends on the person.

Most modern high school education, including mine, is dreadful, so, no, I really hope this isn’t the best life has to offer.

However, for all that schools think success really is (: “Get lots and lots of money and you’ll be successful!”), I don’t doubt a lot of students nowadays will grow up thinking high school really was the highlight of their days because they’ll miserable with a job they hate, a job they chose just for all the monies they’re raking in.

Moral of the story: If you don’t want these to be the best days of your life (if you want to be truly successful and HAPPY), you’d best find something you really enjoy and stick with it rather than copping out by choosing a job you couldn’t care less about, a job you chose only for the income. What a terrible idea.

When I look back on HS (senior right now) I have a lot of good, funny memories. But all the times in between those memories sucked, as my school is intensely boring and the administration treats us like toddlers. I’m ready for the independence of college, but as the years go on the bad parts of HS will fade away and I’ll remember the days with nostalgia.

I’m and senior right now and I don’t think they’re the “best” years of my life, but I learned alot in terms of how to deal with different types of people. I learned what not to do/what TO do. [I screwed up alot in high school and pretty much got rejected from everywhere that matters to me].

My parents always tell me how they don’t remember anyone from high school or earlier and how college friends will be your “life long friends”.

I really hope that high school isn’t one of the best years of my life. I think or hope college will be.
