has anyone not asked for housing and feel like they were able to get in because they didn't ask for a dorm room? also, what is it like if you don't live in a dorm?

Im a freshman @ nyu, dorm life is amazing, dont give up that part of your college experience. And housing has nothing to do with admissions, i dont even recall asking to live on campus on my application...

appie: I'm pretty sure housing's got nothing to do with your admissions decision. Like Last2AcntsBanned, I don't think the application even asks you for your housing preference. In other words, telling NYU that you'll live off-campus will do absolutely nothing for your chances.
