Is it easier to get into BC by transferring from Villanova or Holy Cross?

I didn’t get into BC so I’m thinking about trying to transfer in after freshman year. Can anyone speak to how much harder/easier it is to transfer into BC in general, and to apply from Villanova or Holy Cross in particular? I know VU and HC are common safeties, so I’m wondering if its actually harder to get into BC as a transfer from those schools than it would be from another place. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Holy Cross would probably be the better of the two to transfer from. Its academics are held in higher regard.

I agree with Classic. HC has a reputation of being more academically rigorous than VU. Plus, you can see for yourself if you like the Jesuit education or not.

It all comes down to you and how you perform...go where you think you can excell...go for the fit and the rest will follow.

i would say villanova, it's jesuit and it still has good academics....
plus, people say that villanova is similar to BC. give it a chance, and maybe you'll go there and end up loving it. I don't recommend going into freshman year planning to transfer - choose your school based on where you could see yourself for the next four years, and after freshman year, see how everything's going. good luck!

actually, I think VU is Augustinian, not jesuit.
@ Ikrouch - I agree that if you are to transfer to BC, HC is probably better as it is part of the Jesuit network of schools.

My mistake, you're right about VU not being Jesuit...sorry all!
