Is it just me...

or has anyone else started looking into the different housing options at the schools they applied to?

guilty as charged…

only for the last year or so… =D

I mostly just look at craigslist.

UC Davis has a Housing Day on Thursday that I am going to. Never too early bud even for your third choice school!

cooldude6… i’m pretty sure i’ll be going to that too

Yup, I’ll be at UCD as well…

i havent looked into yet, i think i should prolly wait until i know whether im in at berkeley or not, my other 3 schools are TAGs so i prolly should look into it a bit for them

probably all of us are guilty of looking at housing already–i mean, we did sign up for this website.

well if you are in at berkeley let me tell you…prices are sky high! i live here and i pay 850 for the crappiest one bedroom in the worst part of town as far from campus as you can get.

all I know is that I want to live in the Cuarto apartments in UCD (which is technically off campus but it’s still part of the guaranteed housing plan)

at first i wanted to live in the res halls to get the real college experience but then i saw pictures and shizz are they small. UCLA looks especially small. SB looks a bit better, idk about Berkeley. and SD has nice transfer suites.
but
where is my full size tempurpedic going to fit!!! lol

@Hanucol… if i decide to live in on-campus housing that’s where I want to live as well, it is the only housing area at Davis with suite style rooms. The other resident halls just seem way to cramped and I don’t think i could live with a communal bathroom :/, lol

I agree…I don’t think I can trust sharing a bathroom with more than a handful of people, you never know what kind of germs there are. Plus, dorms are mostly for freshman anyway…yeah, it’s more social but I think I’ll be okay with meeting only a handful of people in an apartment and joining a club or two to meet people who have the same interests.

i found someone willing to let people sleep in their car in the driveway, with access to the bathroom and kitchen for 100 a month. 'twas in Berkeley. That’s the kinda cheap i’m looking for :D

Is the car provided?

lol seriously, thats crazy, what happens when they need the car in the morning, take it, and you wake up like where the hell am I?

how hard is it it going to be to get a double at ucla opposed to a triple

apartments in Berk are hella expensive, shi-et

If your middle class like me (no money) and parents don’t help is it better to live in dorms or with 10 people in a house?

well in a dorm at least you’re guaranteed food
