Is it me or is this becoming the UCLA transfers forum?

dude… you’re a pryck.

haha… +1 pinker

Once dasherfag said UCI=UCSD he lost all credibility… borderline ■■■■■■■■

but on the other hand he’s at the same place as these “CC jackasses” less 18k for 2 yrs of tuition which, judging by his statements so far, didn’t go to much of an “education”

I am superior to you.

For the record, UCI is much more well-rounded than UCSD because of the range of programs it excels in. UCSD is amazing for a very small number of fields, but it lacks the overall quality of UCI. UCI excels in areas ranging from criminology (#2 in the nation), all the way to informatics (top 5 i believe), literary criticism/theory, journalism (#1), top 10 in chemistry. UCSD has no business school, no law school, but boasts of having the highest amount of premeds out of any UC, yet i’ve never met someone from UCSD who has actually gotten into med school. UCSD is number one in anything pertaining to biology, and besides that, it is not mentionable in any academic circles. You see the point? Now fall back, hoe.

Seriously? That’s the worst argument I’ve ever heard.

Also, UCSD has an econ program that rejects PhD applicants who get into Yale, they founded the field of cognitive science, and they’re simply the best at biomedical engineering and biotech.

How is excelling in criminology and journalism (who would choose UCI over Mizzou, Northwestern, or Cuse?) better than excelling in bio and econ?

Because at UCSD they have no law school, no business school, and are only good at one thing. UCI has a lot more top departments than UCSD. You are ignoring facts.

gosh… Hijynx tainted this thread as well…

the fall of College confidential, was the introduction of the ego, and pride.

Not ignoring anything, more people want to do Bio and Econ than criminology and informatics.

Ucsd > uci

From NRC (US News uses a controversial peer ranking system):

San Diego is ahead in 26 programs, with 7 top 10 programs, 3 top 5 programs, and 2 that are the best in the nation.

Irvine is ahead in 6 programs, 5 of which are in the arts and humanities and none of which are in the top 10.

Irvine’s law school is not listed among US News’ best law schools, Irvine’s business school is weak at placement, as only half of the students are employed at graduation. Lower ranked B-schools like Wake Forest and South Carolina place 2/3-3/4 of their grads.

UCSD’s med school is 26/15. Irvine’s is 56/45. So not even close there.

That’s not all that rules out Berkeley for you, but hey, whatever keeps you the hell away from there.

And UCI is? Because, honestly, I’ve never heard it mentioned, and my exgirlfriend’s dad is a professor there.

what kind of ******** ass ranking system is NRC. Use US NEWS

US News still has UCSD ranked ahead.

in what? you are ignoring facts again.

The same fields. Why would I ignore the facts when they’re on my side?

HAHA this is so funny.

It’s true, UCSD rules UCI in many fields according to US News. And UCI’s criminology is fifth in the nation, not second. What is not true, however, is that UCSD only dominates science fields. If you didn’t know, SD’s political science program is before LA’s, let alone I’s. SD also ranks higher in sociology, economics, history, and psychology programs than Irvine’s, according to your favorite website - US News.

UCI is better than UCSD in every department excluding biology. Good night.

This is only true in your head. Good night to you as well.

dasherwinator, what have you been smoking? Cause you need to pass some of that ****.

US News and World Report is nonsense.
