i think i read somewhere that your id is permanent? that was a while ago and my memory is fuzzy. please explain to me. thanks

i mean “my” ucla logon… sorry about the typo…

Yeah, it’s permanent. You’re basically stuck with it forever. I don’t like my logon either.

aww, ok then. thanks sentiment!

you can change your email - or rather set up a second email that people can use.

So lets say your ucla longon id is: needledickedbruin

your email is then, by default, needledickedbruin@ucla.edu

So, you want to use that ucla.edu email but don’t wanna put the name on your resume?
You can change it to something with a period in it, so somethin more professional, like firstname.lastname@ucla.edu - this is only for email though, your myucla logon is permanent.

Yep, you can create an email alias, but your BOL ID for logging in is permanent.

wow! thanks guys! perfect!

my email just got flooded… thanks binks09

Yeah, one of my friends is something like student01@ucla.edu and is stuck with it.

Technically, its not a “second” email so much as an email alias. Your login id will still be the address you originally chose. What happens is that all messages sent to your email alias will be forwarded to your main account.
