Is it possible still?

Hi,

I'm just wondering whether if there's a chance to still be accepted, because decisions have been made since mid-February.

What do you think?

like 3/4 of out of state students haven’t heard back, admission decisions for them go out this and next month… so yeah theres still a chance.

Heck, most in-state transfer applicants haven’t heard anything yet. We just need to be patient.

Hmm… so 3/4 out of state and in-state transfers haven’t heard back yet. What about in-state undergrad?

I’m out of state and haven’t heard anything and the deadline for them to notify you is April 1. I called. This is for the out of staters.

i’m an in-state applicant, first time freshman. still nothing… don’t know why.

Just realized this on collegeboard;

Student Body

1st-year students:
99% In-state students
1% Out-of-state students

I guess Long Beach don’t really like out-of-state or international students :S… I really hope I get in, i’d even cut my own arm and leg off to go either their or some UC college :S.

With a 3.5 + 1950 SAT it’s possible I hope, right?

@iamtheironman- Long Beach, like most CSUs, has an obligation to its community first, and foremost. It is not that they don’t ‘like’ taking out of state student, it is that they cater to the people in their area.

@Seamore, i have the same GPA with lower SATs. I think you should get in… your SAT is higher than the average SAT scores at CSULB. good luck! hope you get in!

naixn92 – Sounds good! Thank you. Good luck to you too!

according to your stats, you are eligible and should get in… but because of the budget crisis, and the fact that their limiting a lot of spaces this year, anything can happen! have they asked for your transcripts? also what major did you mark down on your application?
But let’s remain positive and hope we get in :)! We should know within the next month! keeps us posted if you get in :P
