Is it possible to get into a good MBA program with a low college gpa and non-selevtive job exp?

I have graduated from UCB with a 3.1 gpa in Economics. I have been working for one and half year and now I work for a private brokage firm in NYC. I really want to become an institutional trader which requires a prestigious school background or a competative work exp. I don't have a good acedemic performance when I was in college and my work exp is not selevtive at all. But I really want to get into a job like traders in ibanking or other financial insititute, I will do my best if it is possible. Please let me know for a person like me, is there still a way to get into where I want to be. And if get into a good MBA program may help, for a person like me, what I my chance and way to get into those programs? Thanks a lot, please shoot me with any possible ideas!

Having worked in NYC for a year and a half, by now you should know your answer.

Your only hope is networking into a junior position at a small firm that lacks prestige but provides good experience and then leveraging that experience
