I was accepted for CSULB for computer science, how would I go about transferring to UCI later on if I decide to go to CSULB for now?
Transferring from a CSU to a UC is considerably more difficult than transferring from a community college. UCI will consider those transferring from a CC before they consider those who want to transfer from a CSU.
If you truly want to attend UCI, you would probably have a better chance at transferring in by attending a CC (you would also save a ton of money) and then transferring. Or you could stay at CSULB as it’s also a great school.
@shaswizzle Thank you, I don’t want to go to CC because that means I’d have to stay in the same place I currently do. I can’t do that, I desperately need to experience something new and I think going to college will help. I am not sane in this city, lol. Do you think CSULB is a really good computer science school? I’m mainly worried about finding a job.
CSULB is a excellent option for CS. Getting a job is more up to you and the skills you have to a prospective employer than the school you attend. Getting a couple internships under your belt prior to graduating with your CS degree will help with your job search.
