I was accepted to Steinhardt for communications. I really am second-doubting my major and I know I'll probably end up transferring, hopefully after my first semester.
I picked something practical, something that isn't really of huge interest to me.

I know that the dance program at Tisch is a really intense 3 year program but does it accept internal transfers?

Thanks

Tisch School of the Arts is a very, very competitive school to get into. I believe it is even more so for transfer students even if you are already in a NYU school.

Are internal transfers on a whole rather difficult, even for CAS?

Yes. NYU Stern and Tisch most competitive to get into. Then it is CAS.

However, Tisch goes more by your artistic portfolio/ sample/ performance, in addition to scores, GPA, etc. Stern goes more by scores and GPA. CAS, General well-rounded person with high scores, GPAs, ECs, etc.

Sonny was interested in Tisch’s Music Program but realized he may not be competitive enough to get into it; plus, haha, he thinks he has the internal connection to do what he needs to in music already??? (Mother does not know best here.)
