Is it to late to apply?

<p>Im applying to UCF, FSU, and USF. And i was wondering if you guys thought that October is late to apply for these schools? im applying for summer term since its easier to get in..because my test scores are not so great..ACT-19 :( but most of my friends are applying in september...i would too, BUT i need to take the ACT again which is not till September 11 and i need the scores to come in which will take 2 and a half weeks to get my scores and then my transcripts...what do you guys think?</p>

<p>if i were you, id re take teh test (study A LOT this time), see what you get, and then decide where to apply. and no, its not too late. applications are just beginning</p>

<p>My gpa is solid…i have a 3.5 academic gpa…a 3.4 unweighted…and a 3.8 weighted… i am involved in a lot of clubs and i hav 250+ community service hours…but its not the gpa that im worried about…its the ACT…that is why im taking it again on september…i just thought that the sooner you apply the better…and since most people are applying on september i thought that october was kinda late</p>

<p>usually, sooner is better, but if you can raise your score, its better to apply later. </p>

<p>also, keep in mind that your standardized test scores arent the most important. some people just aren’t good test takers and schools know that. if you have a bad test score, but everything else is pretty solid, you’ll probably still get into one of them.</p>

<p>Schools will actually wait on making a final decision if you indicate on your app that you’re re-taking any kind of standardized test. If they think you’re good enough to get in without seeing those scores, they’ll just admit you. I was in a similar situation last Fall when I applied to U of M; I had plenty of ECs, great essays, a 3.98 unweighted GPA, but a 29 on my ACT. I applied in early October, submitted my new ACT score in November, and was admitted in mid-December. So I guess the moral of the story is apply ASAP, because it can’t hurt.</p>

<p>CronoTriggerfan- one quick question…i know that every college app is different but where on the application does it say that u can indicate if you are going to be re-taking the act? cuz i started my application for UCF and i have it pretty much all of it done and nowhere did it say that…?</p>
