I'm going to be a freshman at UT @ Austin in the fall semester of 2014/spring semester of 2015. I put in my housing application today and am waiting on a contract.
Is it too late for me to get into San Jac? I understand that it's nearly everyone's first choice because of how nice it is, but I favor it because of the convenience, for I am majoring in fine arts.
I REALLY hope I get into this residence hall, but do you think it's too late?

Last I checked, your place in the housing queue is determined based on when you submit your housing deposit, not your housing application. The $50 housing deposit is usually paid along with your UT application. Does that sound familiar to you? If the application process still works this way, you would have needed to pay that fee by at least October to have a shot at San Jacinto. If you only paid that now then you might have concern about getting into any dorm period. For the most solid answer, I would recommend calling up UT and asking.
