I am a Senior studying accounting at UW-Milwaukee. I am from Michigan and have already transferred schools once before so this would be my second transfer. I transferred the first time because my old school did not have an accounting program (even though i loved going there). I am in my second year at UWM and would really like to transfer back to Michigan and attend MSU. I know that there is a certain time you should transfer, but Wisconsin isn’t working out for me. Is it too late to transfer? I am confident I would be granted admission, it really is a matter of being closer with family and possibly attending their Master’s program after graduation.
Let me know if im crazy or not
I have 92 taken credits by the way
What information does MSU have on its website about transferring in? How many credits will they accept, and how long would you need to be there to finish the major that you want? If you are going to need to be there for a full two years, unless your living expenses would be zero, it probably makes more sense to stay where you are and graduate in May.
Unless the major you were transferring in to has joint BS/MS program, you probably are ahead to graduate where you are, and apply for separate admissions to the Master’s program that you want.
I’m not sure you’d get in anywhere as a senior, although this is simply a guess. Since you want to get a master’s it may be more prudent to stay where you are and apply to graduate school.
