I am in high school right now, but I am taking relatively many community college classes. I heard somewhere that even though I am in high school, the grades I get in cc will be factored into my college gpa. Is that true?

no that's not true... you start with a fresh gpa... although grad schools do take into consideration your cc gpa...

oh so grad schools factor in the grades I received in cc classes I took in high school? That doesn't make sense to me...

same here...that sucks cuz i got a C in a class already...are u sure motojdm?

so am i already screwed for grad school now that i already got a C and a lot of B's

^ouch that sucks laserbase.

can anyone clarify this?

I know for a fact that UC Classes taken during high school count for your GPA. I'm not sure about CC though.

I think it works the same as CC transfers to a UC; you start with a clean slate at the UC but grad schools generally factor your CC GPA into consideration.

^even if you were not a transfer student and the cc classes you took were during high school?

You can take UC classes during high school? I never knew that..

Yes, I believe so.

I actually didn't know you can take UC classes during high school either. I know I've heard of people taking CSU classes during high school which does factor into your UC GPA because it's a four-year I believe (correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm with jk_91, grad schools look @ CC grades.

Alright thanks.

But undergrad do not factor in cc grades for college gpa right? Do everyone agree on that?

Yeah I took UC classes during the summer. You have to apply and they have to determine you're "capable" of it.
