Do the community college classes I took in high school count towards my UCLA GPA? I sent in my transcipts and everything, but according to my Degree Progress report I dont have a GPA yet (incoming freshman here). Hope not! gottt tooo many B's!

no. when you apply to grad school they might, though.

dang! that’s what i was afraid of!!

Your UCLA GPA will not have CC courses factored in.

I don’t think your CC GPA will matter much since you took them while you were in high school. Just do well at UCLA and work on the grad school application packet when the time comes.

for med at least you are required to include all CC courses that you have taken when you apply. they are factored into your new gpa with equal weight.

^
Same with law school

So law and med school factor in all grades from any college you’ve gone to? or is it just CCs and undergrad? cause I took a year of courses at a four year university in my junior year of high school…

aww man, thats LAME. I’m starting to feel the consequences of my actions :[

zuser, if you have a transcript from the college, then yes it would count.

imo if i got a few bad grades at a CC i would consider not including them when i apply. people on studentdoctor say that can screw you later on, but i would imagine that there are people who legitimately forget to include courses from high school when applying…i dont think the consequences will be that bad. it might be bad tho if they find out and the courses mess up your gpa by a lot…

quick question: do u guys know where i can send my transcripts to in ucla if i took a class in a CC? as in a mailing address??

or can i just hand deliver my transcript?
