The title says it all. I was curious if UChicago did not reflect SAT II scores in the admissions process. I hope they do, at least as a tiebreaker, because I have outstanding SAT II scores, but my SAT I score is kind of subpar compared to many other qualified candidates for the university. Thanks in advance!

Where did you hear that? I always thought that they’d look at them.

They make look at them, but the real deal maker or breaker will be the curriculum you chose, your recommendations and your essays. What they do not look at is the Writing SAT score.

iDad is right. SATII scores are looked at if sent in, can be helpful if good, will not be harmful if bad, but are by no means required at all. SAT writing scores are simply not considered.

If I chose not to send my SAT II scores, will that be a negative? Would they ever know?

No, we won’t know and it won’t matter if you choose not to send in SAT II scores.

I took 2 more sat II in october and these scores were not on the cb official score at the time when it was sent to U of C. I only have one subject 2 test on it. However, I did get the scores before I submitted the app and resume and I self reported them. Should I have cb send the 2 subject test score as well or would it be too late anyway?

what about AP scores? My counselor told me UChicago (which is my dream school) values SAT II’s, APs, and ECs much less than many other schools. Is it true that SAT I scores and GPA/Rank are scrutinized while SAT II’s, APs, and ECs are not as important?
