Is it true that you pretty much have to rush for greek?

I've heard from many people that you basically have to rush for greek at sdsu if you want to have any social life at all. is this true? just curious.

Yeah how 's the party at SDSU ?

Sig Eps (at 5712 Hardy) don't do hazing (years ago they did).

so if u dont join a club, basically you will have no friends?

No way, just get to know people on your floor in your dorm. Pretty much everyone will be in the same boat as you and will be looking to make friends so don't sweat it. If you are that worried sign up for one of the party dorms.

I think you will be fine anywhere because there will be plenty of people living around you.

I was just asking because my friend is going there as a freshman and had no intention of joining a sorority, but then felt really pressured to do so because of how greek based the campus was.

if you were to join greek which sorority would you join?

or fraternity? for those males

all those hazing are rumors. i don't know what every house does but i can say that their are many houses that do not haze. plus pledging isnt that bad, most dont do anything derogatory.

i would suggest going out during rush and seeing what houses you like. in the end, you want to join a house where you can enjoy hanging out with your brothers/sisters.

also, their are many that aren't greek. you can still enjoy the parties if you are not, you just have to know someone in the house or have a group of good looking girls.

Alright, but really though, what sororities and fraternities are good ones? please rank if you can! Also, which sorority has the best house? I just visited and some of them looked a little shady...
