Is it worth my time to retake the SAT again?

Hi, I'm a junior and I've taken the SAT in October 2013 and March 2014. My first retake was mostly successful; I scored well in math (770) and writing (750) but my score in critical reading was a 640. I'm not exactly happy with my score in that section but I know that my overall score is satisfactory for me and if I were to take the SAT for the third time, I would only be able to take it in October 2014 and without much prep because I have no time. Is it really worth it for me to retake the test again just to improve the score in one section? I don't want to waste my time and I honestly don't think I will have enough time to prep and significantly change my score in October. What should I do?

If you’re absolutely sure you can increase your critical reading score and at least attempt to keep math and writing at the same level, you should go for it. With the lack of prep, you sound a little shaky and possibly won’t make many significant changes. This is your third retake: make sure you’re prepared before going into your last SAT. If you need the time, look it over as much as you can in the time you have left. Good luck if you decide to retake!

Thank you!!
