hello CC

I am a Asian male student where mostly students are expected to get nearly perfect scores in SAT Subject tests

I gave three SAT 2 in May
And here are my scores
Math 2 : 800 Chem : 740 and Physics : 700

I was pretty sure about 800 on Math 2 but was expecting atleast 780 in the other too

I will be applying to Stanford, UCB , Cornell , CMU , Columbia , Harvard , Princeton , Duke, UChicago , UCLA etc where many schools require ALL scores

Please advice is it worth retaking the Physics and Chemistry again? I am sure I will ace them to get atleast 780-800 this time (most probably in Oct )

You can take them again if you think you could do better. I probably would retake the physics and chem if you think you can do better considering that you really want to go to Princeton or the other ivies-I say this just because these schools are very hard to get into and you probably want to get the best scores that you are able to achieve (unless they only require 2 SAT IIs-then you could not send the physics and just concentrate on the chem).

If money is an issue though I would talk to your parents about what they think.

Also, if studying for them will take time away from the actual SAT or your grades you might want to be weary about that.

Lastly, remember that even if you don’t get into the ivies you will probably still be successful at whatever university you go to and do great!

Best of luck!

Thanks for the reply!

Money is not a issue. I am even thinking of giving another subject test on the same day as we are allowed to give 3.

Also no problem in preparing , I will know the stuff till October in great detail unlike I studied from the review books this time.

The main problem is some that some schools which require ALL the scores , will it hurt my chances if they see a SAT 2 retake? Also is my physics score this time really low?

Others opinion is also appreciated so please reply!

^ BUMP please

I am really worried
