Is January too late for SAT subject scores?

I intended to apply to All 8 Ivies, Williams, Amherst, Stanford, NYU
How many of these will accept SAT scores from January?
For instance, williams says it accepts SAT subjects latest by January 1st, so should I not apply there then? As in will I be at a disadvantage of will i simply not be reviewed ?

Does Williams require the Subject Tests, or does it just “recommend” that you take them? If the former then yes you’ll be disqualified.

I’m sure that Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth and Columbia definitely accept the Jan SAT. Cornell accepts it but notes that the scores will most likely not reach in time.

The rest you have to check on their websites.

Ivies accept Jan but want you to designate them as colleges to automatically receive scores, such as your free sends (you can designate more than 4 colleges in on-line app for test by paying $10 per college for each over the total of four). Amherst the same. Williams, NYU and Stanford require testing to be completed by Dec. Note that Stanford recommends but does not require SAT IIs. NYU requires either SAT (or ACT) OR three SAT IIs OR three APs. In other words if you submit SAT you don’t need IIs; you submit three SAT IIs only if you intend for NYU to use those for admission rather than your SAT. Ivies, Willians and Amherst require IIs. For Williams, despite its Dec last test date, you might still attempt to send Jan and see if you get lucky and could do the same for Stanford…

^So how long do the four free score reports take? I’m taking my SAT II’s in January too, and only four colleges on my list require the Subject Tests. Some poster on another thread suggested that the free report thing takes nigh on 4 weeks, and is actually slower than the $10-after-receiving-score reports. True?

If college has electronic delivery with CB (most), Jan scores will be sent to free sends about two days before the scores are even released to you on-line and it is faster than waiting for scores to be released to you and then ordering a rush send.

^Ah, the four colleges on my list are all Ivies, and all of them use the electronic service. So if those 4 score reports are sent two days before my knowing them, when do these scores reach those colleges?
