In the UC application for fall 2018, QUESTION 6 says:
“Think about an academic subject that inspires you. Describe how you have furthered this interest inside and/or outside of the classroom.”
Out of all the subjects I took in high school, I feel my time in guitar class left the biggest impression on me, and I can definitely right a good answer justifying it. The thing is, I’ve been hearing mixed answers when it comes to identifying music as a academic subject. I’m assuming UC’s definition of Academic is anything “a-g”, but would you advise me to play it safe and write about English instead?
