Is my friend in trouble??

So I am going t UCSC in the fall and I'm not worried about being rescinded because I've kept my grades up. But my friend was also planning on attending, but for 2nd semester she received a D in Pre-cal. Will she get rescinded? She is a really close friend and one of the only ppl I know going to UCSC.

Also I was wondering is it really horrible that I didn't pass the AWPE and will I be really behind? (Unless I passed my AP lit exam)

She very likely will, unless she contacted the admissions office before the end of the school year, and they let it slide. ]:

You won’t be behind. You’ll just have to take the ELWR at the end of first quarter.

Really? I asked her if she had written a letter and she said she was just going to send them her transcript. That sucks, I feel bad for her. =/ because I don’t think she is aware that she might get rescinded.

Sending a transcript won’t help her case at all because that’s already required for all students. It’s always better for the student to tell the college that they failed instead of the college finding out. Calling/writing a letter is usually the only way people can get around it.

i failed the AWPE because i was sick. you just end up in a class thats pretty similar to the rest. you wont fall behind unless you fail the test again. but its not that bad, they’ll just make you take an extra writing class. but you only fail if you really dont know how to write. so i wouldnt worry much.

They will automatically rescind her. One of the admissions requirements is that you do not get a grade below a C and if you do, to contact admissions immediately. She failed to meet both requirements.
