I’m trying to advise my DD on which score to send to her colleges. For Stanford, she has to send them all, so no question there. But for many of the others, she can choose which one to send and I’ve told her I think her SAT is the one to send, but I’d like confirmation from the experts, or maybe point out something I didn’t consider.
To give some context, she is a fairly high stat kid (ranks 1/~350, 4.0 UW Gpa / 4.7 W Gpa) and wants to major in Engineering. Her scores are:
ACT #1: 33 C (35 Eng, 32 M, 30 R, 33 Sci)
ACT #2: 32 C (36 Eng, 35 M, 30 R, 26 Sci)
SAT: 1510 (800 M, 710 C/R)
I’ve advised sending the SAT score as I think the 800 in Math will look good to Engineering College AdComs and the overall score seems to concord reasonably well to a 33 ACT anyway.
Do I have this right? Anything I may have missed?
Also, we feel she is done taking standardized tests (except for the SAT II Subject tests she wants to take for Math 2 and Chemistry, which are recommended for Stanford).
Not applying ED anywhere, but trying to do EA at one school (not Stanford, as she isn’t taking the subject tests until Nov 5th).
