As a freshman I took all regular and easy classes. But during freshman year I had a bad math teacher and I did to do geometry over the summer and I signed me up for Honors Algebra 2. I also decided that I would want to the harder AP Human geography class which is blocked. I’m super nervous about Algebra 2 honors because I’ve never taken any advanced or AP classes and I would want advice on how to do well. My current schedule is this
Algebra 2 Honors
Biology
AP Human Geo
AP Human Lit
Choir
Spanish 2
Is this too hard? How can I do well? Thanks!
I’m not sure how honors algebra 2 is taught at your school, but I took it and honors geometry simultaneously last year and it was a breeze. I’m sure it depends on your teacher, but even if you have a bad one you can still look up that days topic on Kahn academy. Just keep up with your work and I think you’ll do fine. I’ve also heard human geography is on of the easier APs but again, I think it depends on your teacher.
It looks like a good schedule for sophomore year.
AP HG is a “gateway to AP” class, meaning it introduces the method and rigor but isn’t as demanding as a “normal” AM class.
For Algebra 2H: do you know the process to drop down to Algebra2 regular, in case it turns out to be too hard? Give it a try but make sure you know how to drop down.
