Is Polo Ralph Lauren or Abercrombie Better?

Old Navy and Gap. The other stuff is overpriced. In fact, I'd say Old Navy and Gap are sometimes overpriced, too, but their clothes are fairly good quality. I've had camis from the Gap that have lasted me at least five years (lots of wear!) without any damage...except for that tiny little loose thread at the hem.

Seriously, everyone says "oh expensive designer shirts last a lifetime" but very few of those people get any considerable wear from those shirts anyways. It's either unfashionable or rarely worn or a combo of both.

Maybe I'm just unpreppy and not-rich like that, though.

I don't mind TH, but Abercrombie and Holister are ridiculously overpriced.

Are you serious?

You can buy t-shirts at Old Navy for like $7.50. That's not overpriced at all.

My list:

Polo Ralph Lauren

J Crew

Lacoste

Abercrombie

That's about it...

I second Old Navy. Nice shirts for a good price.

ok lacoste is and will always be my favorite! i have like every lacoste shirt. but i dont like lacoste jeans.
1. lacoste
2. abercrombie
3.american eagle
4.hollister
5.burberry
6.ralph lauren
7.facquonnable
8. quiksilver
9.penquin
10.le tigre

the only thing that lacoste makes thats cool ( definitely some of my favorite) are the polos. All other lacoste producst are plain crap...the jeans are horrible, the shoes are way too flashy, the button shirts suck ass , the cologne smells like a sweat5y ass fisher dude..

Id say:
for polos: lacoste, RL
jeans: diesel, abercrombie
shoes: diesel, tiger, boating ( great argentinian company)
sweaters: lacoste and random brands
thats about it, the rest shouldn't even matter

Polo and Lacoste for life

and toss some Le Tigre to the mix aswell

what about....hand...me...downs?......yeah....this is awkward...

but i guess gap cause my brother works there.....can you discount? WOOT WOOT!!

Wow. You guys gotta be loaded. A lacoste polo costs somewhere in the area of $75 a pop. And an RL polo somewhere around $65. I've never seen lacoste on sale, and the lowest I've seen RL polos is for $40 at macy's. I get my polos from gap or american eagle when they go on sale to $15 each, $20 max. For the price of one lacoste polo, I'm getting myself 5 polos from gap or ae. What's the difference? Mine just don't have the little crocodile or alligator or whatever. Big deal. Sure, the material is different no doubt. But $60 dollars different? You gotta be kidding me. And my gap polos have lasted me real well too. Of course, even if they didn't I wouldn't really care that much cuz I could just go buy a new one. Now if I were wearing a lacoste polo, I'd be worried about it getting stained or torn or whatever. I'm sure they're durable and all, but at $75 each they better withstand everything.

If you're preppy and all I can understand why you'd wear RL or lacoste, but it's certainly not just cuz the material is better. You immediately know that someone wearing lacoste or RL around all the time has gotta be pretty rich. I guess if you go to a prep school the whole RL/lacoste thing is something you've grown up with. Before going to college, I hadn't really known too many people wearing either of those brands, and if they did, I thought nothing of it. When I got to college and looked around and saw like every single polo either have the little polo or alligator on it, I was just totally surprised. It's like you stand out if your polo has something else on it. I still think it's absolutely ridiculous, but that's just me. There's just better things to do with money. Oh yea, and I can't ever even imagine getting anything from abercrombie... it's just a rip-off.

i love ralph lauren..my personal favorite been wearing rl polos since a very young age. lacoste is okay..le tigre also has some nice polos..my other personal favorite would have to be j crew i love the no logo and the quality is great..they also have a lot of other nice products like there jeans and flip flops

I too, grew up with the croc.. But it's really stupid what extent people go to, to show off their fancy polos: It's winter here right now and some people are actually wearing one rl polo in the freezing weather, just to show off their pony. Also, if they're wearing a scarf, they make sure that the scarf doesnt hide their nice little pony. RIdiculus!!

Lacoste,Gap, Old Navy, and J Crew

J. Crew, L.L. Bean= major prep.

J. Press is the little-known designated clothing store for Ivy League dress.

I like Lacoste though (oh isn't the crocodile so cuuute?).

Old Navy= cheap, cheap alternative.

NoFX, where do you live?

i love the lacoste polos. most of my jeans come from nordstrom (sevens, citizens of humanity, evisu genes, etc). nobody said banana republic. whats up with that? they have good oxfords on sale right now.

I hate American Eagle jeans. Why do they try to make them look dirty? It's stupid.

You can just get an old pair of jeans, or buy a new pair at old navy for $10, then put some holes near the knees and thighs, then throw some dirt on it.

I like Abercrombie and Diesel jeans. Not all of them, though.

American Eagle X239657043769
Aeropostale
[sometimes]Abercrombie but I usually dont wanna spend the money

You people dress like 13 year olds.

American Eagle? Aeropostale? Abercrombie? Jesus...hit puberty.

haha I am 13.

I only have one shirt from AE, nothing from Aeropostale, and a few shirts and jeans from Abercrombie.

Those brands take up about 1/8 of all the clothes I have.
