Is taking a Gen Chem 1 lecture followed immediately by a lab a bad idea?

I’m scheduling courses right now, and in order to take another course, I’ll need to put my chemistry course at 2pm, followed immediately by the 3pm-6pm lab. Is this too much work or will this otherwise be an issue? I have no idea how much work these college classes actually are, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I don’t see any issue; it’s hardly a unique situation. The workload would not decrease if the lab were 4-7 instead. The only issue would be if you need a 3 p.m. snack; you’d just have to eat it while walking from the lecture hall to the lab.

That’s all I was looking for. Thanks!

Agree…it will be fine. Maybe bring a drink or quick snack to have before the lab.

I have 2 labs a week and sadly, I’m in this situation for both lol. It really isn’t that bad. As other people have said bring a snack and some H2O!

It’s perfectly normal and fine. You have an hour in-between and often these are in the same building so that’s plenty of a time buffer.
