Hi, I just found out I got into the Belin-Blank summer writing residency. I applied because I was also applying to the Iowa Young Writers Workshop and I wanted to have another shot at a writing camp if I didn’t get in. The last think I expected happened: I got into both, but at different times (I. E. First session iowa workshop, and then a July session for belin blank). I am definitely going to attend the Iowa Young writers workshop, but as both programs are very expensive and are spaced an inconvenient week apart I’m not sure I want to sign up for the Belin blank program unless I’m sure I going to get something out of it. I found out about it because I got an email from the scholastic art and writing awards about it saying i should apply as a gold key winner. Otherwise I would not have known it existed as it is a brand new program. Because it is so new I also cannot find anything about it online. Sorry for the long post, but does anyone have any advice/know anything about the program?
