Is there a major difference between IB Bio HL, and SL?

Hello.
So I'm definitely joining IB bio, but I'm not sure if I should join at HL, or SL. I got a B during 10th grade standard, although it was an elective course during then. Will that B hinder me? I'm thinkng of becoming a psychologist, and I don't have psychology in my school. However, will HL be more useful..? I am definitely willing to work hard. But how hard?

Well, IB Bio HL goes more in depth than SL. SL is a year-long course, while HL is a two-year long course. In HL, your class will focus on a few extra topics than what is covered in SL. In addition, the HL IB exam is longer. However, a lot of schools only take HL scores for college credit.

I’m in HL now, second year in. I don’t find it too hard. The big thing is reading along in the book and getting down how to answer questions “the IB way”.
