Is there anyone studying high school in Australia?

I am applying to go to one of schools in Australia to carry on my high school study.I was thinking of taking IB Diploma there,as I have always put up going to US as my final destination. However, these days many people kept telling me IB was doubtless a tough challenge,I began to question if it was a wise decision to do that. The reason is that I am not a native english speaker,in other words my ability might not meet the qualification demanded by IB.The other alternative is VCE,which is said to be easier than IB.Nevertheless I know little about it.
I will be grateful if anyone could provide some information or comment.
Thank you.

Sorry I think I post this thread in the wrong forum.

I'm 16 and I live in Australia. Where are you from? If you want to eventually study in the US it is more advantageous to do the IB but you would have to choose a high school here that have that program, few schools do. Also, which part of Australia are you coming to? VCE is the Victorian certificate of education which is the system that Victoria has and typical students in Victoria go through that. Note that each state in Australia has it's own educational system although they're fairly similar in terms of what you learn. If you do go to a high school here and want to go to uni in the US, find and do lots of extra curriculars because Australian schools are not big in offering extra curriculars unlike the US where you have an array of activities to choose from.
