Is this a good plan for managing farming and school?

Hello everyone,

I've posted here before about my struggles with my family's farm and my time management skills, and I'm pleased to say that last semester worked out quite well. (All 4.0s :) ) Now I'd like to make sure I'm making doable arrangements for this upcoming fall since it's clear from last year I have a hard time handling it on my own. I'm also starting an on-campus job this year that's about 15 hours a week, but I don't know when I'll be working.

Here is my tentative schedule for September and October:

M: class 8-2:30, maybe some on-campus work, studying

Tu: farmer's market 6:30-5, studying
W: class 8-2:30, maybe some on-campus work, studying

Th: probably some on-campus work, studying

F: class 8-12, fieldwork ~1:30-5:30/6

Sa: farmer's market 4:30-3, studying

Su: studying

This will be almost 40 hours a week working, plus I'll be taking 16 credits. Last year the pressure got to me, and I'm wondering if this is maybe too much.

Any insight would be valuable and appreciated. Thanks so much.

Very few people can work 40 hours a week and hold down a full-time class load. Truly, you need to cut back on the work, or on the studying. I’d suggest that you help your family advertise for a starving college student who is NOT YOU to work the farmer’s market gig. Even better if you can find one who would also take on the fieldwork shift.
