or am I reading too much into it?
I received a generic email from the financial aid office telling us to send in the 2009 taxes. I assume this is an automatic thing.

However, they also personally called my house. This makes me think that they are working on my financial aid package. Why would they work on a financial aid package of someone who is not admitted?
What do you think?

Oh good! Right after I posted this, my dad (who actually answered the phone) said it was automated. My mom had told me it was a personal phone call, so I am glad that even if it was automated it is still a good sign! Thanks!
YAY!

The financial aid application goes to a separate office than the admission application. They figure out everyone’s aid. I hope you get in, but this isn’t evidence.

I received an email, and also an automated call. Could anyone say whether there are people that receive these calls every year and are not accepted? It would clear this up. Personally, I dont think this means anything. However, as I was filling out the stuff for Emory Financial Aid, I got the automated call and knew what they were saying so I hung up. Did they say anything like they were putting together your package?

An automated call can be sent to thousands of houses at the same time. It’s what my school uses to tell us about cancellations. I wouldn’t look too much into it.

I only remember receiving an email, but my house probably got a call and let it ring thinking it was a telemarketer haha.

I assumed they sent the call to all students. I was impressed, though, that they bothered to mention it because no other college made such a call.
