Is this a LIKELY LETTER?!!

hey I just received the invitation to the Diversity Hosting weekend, I am not sure if I should jump up and down, or settle down because it is a LIKELY letter. The link sends me to that contradictory statement "This site is reserved for a select group of students who have been granted admission to Cornell University" WHAT SHOULD I MAKE OF THIS????
I applied to the architecture school and haven't received any letters.

^ did you get it through email?

through email...march 14 at midnight

does it give a link where one could register?

yes it does, here it is Cornell University Undergraduate Admissions Office - CAMPUS VISIT

does it mean I am accepted?

btw, does cornell pay all expenses for the travel?

For sure , I was accepted through ED and I have not recieved this. I am guessing this is to recruit people from RD. Congrats I applied to AAP as well, hope to see you at the weekend. My name is Dennis.

ah I am David. I am for sure going on that weekend, can't wait!

David, where do you live?

miami...
Wait does it mean for sure that i got in!? haha

oh yea, are you on face book?

They are even paying for your flight !!!

haha yeah whats yours

I think the diversity letters are through email, and the likely letters are snail mail.

lighthunt: i think you should jump up and down about the likely letter, i got the same one through email yesterday, and today i got a snail mail letter saying i was accepted! I am going crazy, i am so happy! so i hope this helps and i hope you get in!

I got a likely letter yesterday saying that i'm going to be offered admission. I'm pretty pumped.

Can people let us know if these likely e-mails/letters are only for minorities for the Diversity Week-end? Did any Caucasians for the engineering school receive these likely communications?

They are only for minorities, as of now.

hey everyone

thanks to all for the comments -- this thread exploded. lol
but to try and answer people's questions:
-as of now it looks like it's only minorities
-seems like the process is : 1) the person gets the DHW invite and then 2) we get the "likely" letter (these are the two things that I got)
-as far as I can tell, I'm pretty sure we can consider this as being accepted; we just can't get the official notification until april 1st or whenever because of that ivy league rule. there's no way that Cornell would f**** with us like this if they didn't already decide that we're in.
-the DHW website is where you can register -- i'm pretty sure Cornell only meant it to be accessible by those who recieved an email (lol)

I am pumped!! I hope my theory holds true, cause I told everyone who asked! hahaha wooohooooo!!! o and i searched "Cornell Days" (another activity they ask you attend if not DHW), and its site also said it was for admitted students only

i think i'm going to miss DHW but hopefully I will be there for

I got the likely letter (snail mail) without the DHW email invite. I applied to CAS, and received the letter yesterday. No email yet.
