Is this decent?

Thanks… I need it real bad right now.

“Moreover, a 95 in Geometry and Algebra II, even if they’re both Honors, just prove you’re just average, unless your mathematics teachers are difficult.”

Since when is a 95 average? That’s a freaking “A”. A’s are not average (at least people who aren’t on CC don’t seem to think so). And it’s doesn’t prove anything. Wait until you’re in college and you’ll find that out when you have a very challenging professor.

^Whose side are you on?

Well I really don’t think you should drop AP Spanish Language. That would look better on your transcript, in my opinion, than most of your other AP classes besides math and science. Taking an AP foreign language shows real competency, as opposed to a class like AP Gov. It takes years to build up the knowledge to take an AP foreign language and colleges will appreciate that. AP Spanish Literature sounds even more impressive on a transcript. So I say to keep the Spanish.

^^^I’m saying that his mathematics skills can be average since the mathematics he’s taking is in high school. And I haven’t implied that getting a 95 in college mathematics would make you average. Moreover, I stated, “unless your mathematics teachers are difficult.”

“Whose side are you on?”

Well if you’re talking to me, I’m on your side. Don’t let these people here belittle you. Don’t listen to the people who put you down. You should do what you think is best. If you think you can handle multiple AP classes, then go ahead and take them. At the end, it’s your choice. But if you do end up taking all those AP classes, be prepared to study hard. Just because you got a “B” in AP world doesn’t mean you’re a failure. If you look at this from a perspective, a “B” isn’t a bad grade. Here at CC, it is but not in the real world (btw, are you still taking AP World and if so, what is your grade). Obviously, history isn’t your strong point but it’s something you’re just gonna have to work strong in.

Side? There are on sides to this… it’s a matter of giving advice.

Unless this is some sort of game and I just haven’t caught on…?

No, you don’t understand. I’ve been having a high A in AP World History all up until this month. History is my forte. I just had a few low scores on a couple of tests. I guess summer fever.

jerry, I never said anything about a 95 in college math means you’re average. I’m saying that you obviously implied that you think a 95 in high school math makes you average when it isn’t.

No sides. Just a figure of speech.

You must have had some REALLY bad scores this month if you went from a high A to a B… unless your teacher hardly has any assignments in her gradebook and does point-based (not category/weight-based) grading.

Anyways, you will know whether or not history is your forte come July when you get your exam score. APWH is not an easy class. It isn’t something that you can blow off and expect to do great in. I’ve done wonderful in my class all year, but I don’t feel too confident in my exam score. I hope to surprise myself (positively). But now I know how difficult APUSH will be, and I’ll be on top of studying and preparing from day one.

You and only you can know what you are able to handle. Asking us for advice is good for general guidance, but the ultimate decision is (well, at least should be) up to you.

Well, thanks for helping me, at least. :)

lol do it so we can watch you crash and burn

I went from 1 AP sophomore year to 5 AP’s this year (junior). I got a B+ first semester in AP world history last year because of reasons besides my academic ineptitude( the teacher killed me on minor assignments). I made all A’s this year and did pretty well overall. You can do it if you tell yourself so. In case you were wondering, my AP’s this year were Calculus BC, Psychology, Physics B, Eng. Lang., US History. I can’t say I got all 5’s (although it is quite possible) but your schedule might be feasible depending on what you’re willing to do.

taking an AP class JUST to boost your GPA is so see-through - any college will realize what you are doing

and you got a B in your only AP class, now you want to take 6? bad idea

I’ve had an A all year in AP World History until now! Are you guys even listening to me?

We’ve gone over the whole A/B thing several times now. There’s no use in doing it again.

True that.

So to end this, I decided to drop Spanish Lang and Psych. I think this load could be more manageable.

Good luck. Are you taking PreCalc over the summer?
