I'm going to be a senior next year. I'm planning on getting all of my graduation requirements out of the way this summer, and just focus on doing what I enjoy next fall. Here's what I was thinking:

Advanced Jazz Ensemble
Preparation for FIRST Robotics
Linear Algebra (dual enrollment)
Engineering Statics (dual enrollment)
Organic Chemistry I (dual enrollment)
Cross Country

I've taken AP Physics B, AP Chemistry, and multivariable calc. I have been able to work through every science and math class I've taken and get A's and 5's. It would've been easy, too, if I'd had more time to study (darn you, English!). So, is this schedule doable for a high school student?

No. That’s 5 classes and Jazz isn’t really a class. I don’t know if the preparation for robotics is a class either but it will take up some time. Either way it doesn’t look bad. You’ll be fine especially since you enjoy those subjects.

Yeah. If you’ve been fine with advanced mathematics and science courses, these should only be a bit challenging for a student at your level. Good luck with the robotics competition! But really, think about it yourself. The teachers at school are sure that the AP courses are doable, yet they are expecting virtually every student to struggle with them. If you breezed through them, then perhaps you’re just going to have to work a bit harder such as your counterparts who struggled in AP. Either way, you’ll be fine. Really. Believe me. Now go think about how you’re gonna get your robot to smack down that Tobit before he teachers for the pool noodle that your robot wants.

Aren’t summer Dual Enrollment classes usually more intensive because there’s less time for the material? That’s not to say that it isn’t doable, but I wouldn’t do it.

Why are you taking no English/history classes…

No. I’ve seen worse. You can do it!

@Thr33Hunna English sucks who needs it. On a serious note though I would take an English/History course.

Thanks, it looks like it’s a go (if I can work out schedule conflicts). I’m planning on taking English over summer and I’m done with history. Who needs them (I’m sure people do, just not me next year)!
