<p>No, that’s not true for students in the College of L&S, or any of the other Colleges on campus. It doesn’t matter what major or College you’re in, once you enroll in a course, you have a certain number of weeks to change the grading options (and sometimes credit amount), but after that period it’s permanent. I’m pretty sure no school has a policy of changing a P/NP to a letter grade just because you declared a major.</p>
<p>Although, for letter grades, if you think you received an inaccurate or wrong grade, there’s a process to challenge them. But I hear it’s pretty hard to change a final grade.</p>
