I'm a junior. My school does not report quarter grades on the transcript. They only report semester grades.

Does that mean that if I got a B (93) in AP Calc for the first quarter and brought up the overall semester grade to an A (at least a 94), colleges would only see the A?

And would my GPA factor in the B for the first quarter? I have a 4.0... and I kinda don't wanna lose that lol.

If you apply now and GPA is asked for on the application, the college is looking for GPA through Junior year. Many colleges, possibly the majority and definitely the vast majority of public universities, use grades only through junior year for admission and thus what you get first quarter or even at the end of the semester won’t mean anything to admission (but if semester and end of year grades are bad that could later result in withdrawal of any admission given).

Other colleges and most high ranks want a mid-year report sent after you apply with your semester grades if you are applying regular admission but they don’t care about your mid-semester (quarter) grades. Mid-semester (quarter) grades if you actually got them would mean something only at a small number of colleges and then only for early action or early decision.

Thus, as long as your high school does not put quarter grades on your transcript they mean nothing for regular admission and colleges won’t see them. But you should verify that your high school leaves off quarter grades.
