Is this worth it?

I am the team captain of my school’s varsity chess team, and we just wont the state championship. Is this worth noting to colleges? For example, I applied to Dartmouth and on the portal there is an option to upload any accomplishments that took place after one submitted the application. Is it too late for this to even matter? Or should I upload this through the portal? Thank you.

Idk if it will matter, but you have nothing to lose, upload it.

@nw2this ok, thank you for your response.

I would let them know, as you are the captain.

You can let them know. And if you had any personal accomplishments (ex. a victory against a top player etc.) I’d put that in as well. Just keep it short and sweet. Admissions officers are swamped right now.

No. Decisions are not final and subject to change until the letter goes out (or I guess now it’s “until it’s posted online”). Definitely send it and agree with happy1, put any relevant personal accomplishments and keep it short and simple.

@iwannabe_Brown Okay, thank you for the advice. Also, for schools that do not allow the applicants to upload additional material, should I contact them?

bump

yeah, email admissions and include any sort of application number or whatever sort of identifier they use now.

@iwannabe_Brown ok, thank you
