Is transfer day actually useful?

Are the transfer days that the UCs hold actually helpful? If you've attended in the past please share your experience whether it was helpful or not. Do they discuss study abroad?

I might go to UCI but I'm already from OC and somewhat familiar with the campus n surrounding area

UCSD is having transfer admit day and I think I probably won’t go to that, but will go to orientation (I believe there is one of those over the summer).

Oh man you’ll be missing out on all the super sweet free stuff they give out. That’s a shame.

what kind ‘free stuff’ do they give out? key chains? lol jw. thanks for the responses so far…

I know that you get a shirt at UCSD, and other stuff that I can’t recall.

I think I saw a post from way back… things like pens and keychains?

But I have the same question as the OP, is transfer day necessary?

All kinds of stuff, pens, paper, shirts, key chains, chapstick, notebooks, all kinds of random study accessories. I don’t like shopping for this stuff so I’m taking this opportunity to stock up.

Anyone else find transfer day informative, useful… anything??? aside of the freebies. lol
