I'm not happy at the college I'm at right now. The culture is not academic in the least. I went to a prep school for highschool and was surrounded by motivated people and pushed very hard academically. I think I didn't appreciate that enough. Now I'm in classes that some professors have admitted to "dumbing down." I'm the type of person that if I am not being pushed will just stop working. Right now I feel like I am just wasting away potential and my heart isn't in what I'm doing. I feel bad discussing this with anyone at my current school because honestly people are struggling with classes that I can just breeze by with little work and I really don't want to make them feel bad as they are trying to adjust to a harder workload. I've heard that in college you pay for who you sit next to, and well right now it feels like who I'm sitting next to is pulling me down not challenging me to grow.

On the other hand my college does offer alot of opportunities for professional development like internships. It also accepted 60 dual credit hours I completed in highschool which is 2 years of college work which means I can graduate 2 years early, double major, study abroad for a year, or something else along those lines.

So is transfering something to consider right now? Any other suggestions or thought?
