Is UCSD socially dead

Hey i got accepted to UCSD, but im very skeptical if i should go there because of the rumours of being socially dead and triton eye. I just wanna know if this is true or not and whether or not i should I attend UCSD or SDSU. My top school UCSB waitlisted me so now i have to choose between UCSD a socially dead school but prestigious or SDSU a “lesser” school but still a top school that seems more fun.

I’m not gonna sit here and say the people at UCSD are as hot as State’s or that the parties are as lit cause that’s crap lol but I will say that it’s definitely not dead and that Triton Eye is nowhere close to as bad as it sounds. If you just talk to people from the moment you get here you’ll never not have something to do. Freshman year fall quarter I had a party or kickback to go to for four days of the week on average. Everyone gets lit and tries to have fun, it’s college. The people aren’t tens everywhere like at State but there are enough cuties to keep you going and a few instagram models if you think you actually have a shot with 10s. Worst case just go Greek and you’ll always have something to do. In the end you have to decide how much you value your future vs your college experience because yea I feel like a bit of a jackass saying this but your ceiling will be higher with a UCSD degree in almost every field

Also worst case both schools have TJ, and once you’re 21 campus won’t matter because you’ll be in PB or the Gaslamp 24/7

Briezman: what is your major? Did you get in the Honors at SDSU?

UCSD is on quarter, SDSU semester. A lot of materials and no slacking time in a Quarter based program
